Noel Barber was a famous British writer and journalist with a considerable body of novels and non-fiction publications behind him. For many, his magnum opus is A Woman of Cairo – a wonderful romance novel about the love story between the children of diplomats who grow up together in Cairo in the run-up to the Second World War.
